We went over to Breathless and walked around or joined in the night life and then went home to Now. So honestly for people like us who like a little night life it was a perfect blend. I see people mentioning that Now was a bit quiet and that was true however Breathless is happening and there is no end to the festivities there. One night we went over to Breathless to our favorite French restaurant and as always that was wonderful. All in all the food was good at the steak house.
My husband had fish and it was excellent. I chose a rib eye which was a mistake because it was way too big for me. The soup was divine although not at all like what we serve in the USA. The Italian restaurant was my favorite where I had lobster minestrone, eggplant Parmesan and a delightful pasta with pesto sauce. As I said before we have stayed at numerous resorts in the Dominican and are aware that the food is the Dominican version of what they think American food is but it's very good. Breakfast buffet where the food was inside but you ate outside was just lovely.
The food at the restaurants was all very good. Sounds awful but it works fine once you figure that out. The bathroom configuration with the shower is a bit interesting and the shower does tend to have the water flow into the area outside of the toilet UNLESS you realize that the door for the water closet is supposed to be turned and used as the shower door. The colors are great and tropical and the jacuzzi on the deck just great. The rooms are new, spacious and unique design with a barn door type closure to close off the entire sink/closet/bathroom area. The gentleman Christopher at the desk was wonderful and he gave us a lovely room on the third floor as requested and we even had a nice ocean view. We had to wait until 3pm to check in which is standard check in time. So we agreed to the deal and easily went next door to the Now resort. The two resorts are connected and you are welcome to use all of the facilities of Breathless if you are staying at Now. What could be wrong with this other than packing and unpacking? Now Onyx is right next door to Breathless where we have also stayed twice. They would pay the cab both ways and when we returned to Dreams we would have a guaranteed one bedroom suite for the rest of our stay. Upon arrival to Dreams they offered us to go next door to the Now Onxy a brand new hotel for three nights because they were over sold. We have been to that resort twice prior and we're very happy to be going again. We were booked through Cheap Caribbean on the Deal of Fortune for 7 nights and found out a week in advance that we were going to Dreams Punta Cana. The colors are great and tropical and the. Now Onyx is right next door to Breathless where we have also stayed twice. What could be wrong with this other than packing and unpacking?
